Partnering with other programs
Once a month we partner with other New York City local programs and organizations and make a drop off of 100 “Safe for Women Bags” per group. On months when we have a surplus of supplies we do two drop offs a month. We are always eager to find more local programs and organizations to partner with.
taking our mission to the streets
Erin and Imani as well as select partners/volunteers always carry “Safe for Women Bags” with them and hand them out as they see fit to women the see in need.
We also partner with local NY businesses who would like to be a drop off point for people who would like to make product donations easily.
health and hygiene workshops
By request we host health and hygiene workshops in partnership with a local medical professional. Living on the streets or in whether during trying times can cause people to lose focus on what is important and good for their health. Also in this day and age their are MANY new ways to live with your period that women may not know of and/or find taboo so we come in and make them aware of all of their options.
Whats In the Bag…
Our “Safe for Women Bags” have enough supplies for a day and a half to 2 days of a menstrual cycle depending on the woman, day of the cycle, etc. Our bags come in combo (both sanitary napkins & tampons), Sanitary Napkins Only, Tampons Only. A combo bag includes:
- 6 Sanitary Napkins
- 6 Tampons
- 6 Panty Liners
- * Feminine Wipes (as supplies are available)
-* Toiletry Items (as supplies are available)
